This information has been prepared for informational purposes to describe benefits offered at Athens-Limestone Hospital and should not be construed as a contract or promise of employment. This information expresses the benefits now available to Athens-Limestone Hospital employees. Circumstances may arise that make it appropriate to change the employee benefits for Athens-Limestone Hospital employees, and Athens- Limestone Hospital reserves the right to change the provisions of the Employee Benefits Manual and to change employee benefits at any time in its sole discretion. This manual does not obligate Athens-Limestone Hospital to continue employment for any particular time period. Employment at Athens-Limestone Hospital is an employment-at-will arrangement. Either the Hospital or the employee may terminate employment at any time with or without cause, and for any or no reason. BENEFITS OF EMPLOYMENT Automatic Deposit: The Hospital payroll is set up on automatic deposit. Credit Union: The employees of our institution are invited to join the Telco or Redstone Credit Union. Deferred Compensation: By deferring compensation, there is an opportunity to lower current income taxes by postponing the payment on taxes on contributions and investment earnings until they are withdraw at retirement. Life Insurance: All full-time employees are eligible for the life insurance coverage which is equal to the employee's annual base salary to the nearest $1,000 with a maximum of $100,000. Long Term Disability Plan: All full-time employees after one year are eligible for the plan that provides income replacement benefits when an employee become disabled. Group Health Care and Dental Plan: All active full-time employees for coverage on the first day of the month after date of employment and after application forms are completed. The Hospital pays 75% and the employee pays 25% of the premium. Paid Time Off Program: Paid time off is designed to replace the traditional vacation, and holiday programs with one category of time off with pay. To be eligible for the Paid Time Off Program one must be a full-time employee who has worked for at least three months with the Hospital. Pension Plan: The Hospital has a Defined Contribution Plan established to provide benefits upon retirement from the Hospital. The plan is funded by both the employee and the Hospital. Scholarship: The Hospital provides five (5) scholarships each year. Each scholarship will be decided on by academic year, GPA, curriculum, and an interview. One year employment after curriculum is required. The Hospital will pay for tuition and books as long as the recipient maintains the standards of the scholarship program. Sick Leave: The sick leave program is designed to assist those employees who must be off work for an extended period of time due to sickness or injury. Tax Savings:The Hospital Tax Savings Plan allows all employees, on a nondiscriminatory basis, to shelter 100% of the employee's family medical premium of the Group Health Care Premium. Worker's Compensation:The Hospital provides coverage for an employee that has an on-the-job illness or injury. |
