What is the Foundation? The Athens-Limestone Hospital Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Foundation was established in December 1999 by the Hospital Board of Directors. What is the purpose of the Foundation? The Foundation's purpose is to secure financial resources for continued development of healthcare in the area by providing support to Athens-Limestone Hospital and the regions it serves. Helping Hands Mini Grants Beginning in March of 2008, The Athens-Limestone Hospital Foundation began awarding monthly grants for equipment and material needs through out the hospital. The maximum amount per grant per month is $2000. Grants will not be given for travel or conference fees. Monthly grants will be awarded for items that will be used within the hospital and must pertain to patient safety, care, comfort and or convenience. Please download the form and include photos and manufacturers description. You may attach extra pages if necessary. Although Athens-Limestone Hospital is financially strong, the need to continue a successful record of providing top-quality services through technologically advanced equipment and continually improving the facilities creates the need for private support. Be assured that your gift will be used wisely, a refection of your generosity and concern for others. Is my donation tax deductible? Yes. As a 501(c)(3)Charitable organization, your gift to the Foundation is deductible to the fullest extent by law. May I designate my donation? Yes. You may restrict your gift to be used for a specific purpose or department. An unrestricted gift will be put to good use in the area of greatest need. Can my gift be a memorial? You may designate your gift in memory or in honor of a special person. The Foundation will notify the person or family of the donation, unless you request anonymity. How do I make a donation?
